In recent years, local authorities have provided and still are, food for more than 4000 students, on a daily basis, throughout the school year through the „School after School” and Day Care programs.
At the same time, The General Direction of Social Care and Child Protection 6th District considers that for a harmonious developement, children need continuity in these approaches. Food should not be missed on weekends or on school holidays.
Thus, through the Local Food Bank 6th District Project, children will receive, on a daily basis, the change on having a proper diet, while they are not attending social centers of programs in the community.
Whitin 6th District we have over 11 years of experience in running programs such as canteens, afterschools of neighborhood camps.
